The customer service was great and communication about my order was the best I have seen in a long time. If you shoot an XD regularly this is a must have upgrade. I didn't put the blue springs in as this is a carry/defensive firearm, but the break is clean, eliminated over travel and the aluminum trigger no longer beats up my finger, no more numbness with extended shooting sessions. I Gave the PRP a go, and it is night and day. 40 and the Stock trigger would leave my trigger finger numb after shooting a box or more of ammo. I like the XD's but the triggers have always been the issue. I got this for xd 40 4inch, kind of a last resort as I was going to sell it.
The lightest springs brought it down to 4.25 lbs. WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including lead, which is known to the state of CA to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. When installed correctly, this kit will give you a short, crisp trigger pull (about 3.5-4.5lbs) with a fast reset and shorten the total trigger pull length. This trigger is a Springfield Armory® OEM part available on production for XD® & XDM® pistols from the factory (see APPENDIX D4 - 21.6 Production Division Rules). Using this method of over travel stop removes added stress on the trigger bar that are present with any of the other over travel stop method. It also has an integral over travel stop on the back of the trigger. To help speed up the reset, our trigger is made of tough light weight polymer and is now available in aluminum anodized black or silver. The other reduced weight springs are the sear spring and the striker safety spring which helps lower the pull weight. It includes two different trigger springs and striker springs (the competition weight springs (the lightest weight) are marked with blue ink).
45 cal ( all except the thumb safety model) contains our famous striker safety lever and trigger to remove the long trigger pre-travel on the XD® trigger.
